Love the app! Powerpack through MAS please!

Probably my most used MAS app! Please let us purchase a Powerpack version through MAS! We wont convert to Power user until this happens please!

Perfect Search Tool

Great app, the fact that its free makes it that much more appealing. Easy to use, and efficient as ever. Must have.

Brilliant!

This is such a good idea and at the same time it is really effective, working well and its free. These are the kind of Apps, that i would pay money for...

Works well, but needs more configuration...

Alfred works fairly well, but Ive found that its searching preferences are far too high-level for my use. I currently use Quicksilver to launch most of my applications, and various files that I use on a day-to-day basis. Alfred works very well for launching applications, as does Quicksilver and Spotlight, but where it falters is in the opening of files directly. Quicksilver can open numerous file types, including an Excel spreadsheet, PDF files, and an AU Lab document, all three of which I use on an almost daily basis. I can get Alfred to show the Excel spreadsheet and PDF files by enabling the necessary options to search (Documents, I believe), but it wont pick up the AU Lab document I use for a system-wide equalizer unless I tell it to include all files. At that point, it shows obscure files from 6 levels down inside an application in /Applications, which doesnt do me any good. I cant tell it to just look two levels down into the /Applications folder, as Quicksilver can, which completely ruins it for my use. Ill stick with Quicksilver, thank you very much.

Brilliant app that should be an integrated part of OSX

If you havent tried Alfred, dont let detractors fool you into believing that Spotlight can do the job better. Trust me, it doesnt hold a candle to the speed and efficiency of Alfred. Simply the fastest way to your applications, files, documents and search results and with the extendible architecture, you can add exactly what you need to make Alfred work for you! Great work and simply a brilliant app!

Should be built into OS X!

Years ago I was hooked on QuickSilver. Now its Alfred (beautifuly named btw). Just using it for finding files and opening apps is worth it. Great work!!! keep the updates coming.

Time Saver!

Definitely the easiest and fastest way to find any file on your computer. Not to mention everything else it does!

Simply The Best

Is there anything this app cannot do? You can find misplaced files and folders, launch your apps, search the web, look up word definitions and perform calculations without launching the dictionary and calculator apps, etc. You can also log out, restart, and shutdown your computer.

Always wanted a butler

Alfred never takes a day off. The built-in searches work great, the pocket calculator functionality is surprisingly handy, starting seldom-used apps just takes a few keystrokes, and the real power begins when you set up custom searches. Its all extremely responsive--never any perceptible lag.

Super simple and extremely efficient

This App is extremely easy to use and it saves a few extra clicks to get you things done. It opens other Apps, searches for something in Google, calculates basic mathematical problems, etc. It really makes the whole MAC experience even better. I recommend this App.

Alfred Review

This app is fantastic. Ive actually hid my dock and use Alfred for everything. Its quick, efficient, and brings up multiple options. I can bring up Alfred and type something to google and it brings me right to the page. I can quickly perform calculations without opening the calculator, find lost files and folders without moving the mouse and even shut down my Mac

Excellent tool to launch apps, search and open files

After spending a lot of time clicking my way through different menus and the dock, closing windows to find a particular running program etc. I found this tool in the app store. It works very intuitively and allows you to operate the Mac entirely with brief keyboard commands (typically no more than 3-4 keystrokes to launch an app, find a particular file or folder etc.). You just need to know a part of the corresponding name. It saves me a lot of time operating the Mac and I highly recommend it.

Alfred is awesome!

I saw my friend using this app one day, and was intrigued by its simplicity and elegance! It certainly lived up to my expectations. The best thing about Alfred is that it knows which files Im looking for, and if youre used to the interface, you dont need to use your mouse/trackpad at all! Im not sure where developers can next take Alfred to, because its already so awesome!

Fabulous

Simply fabulous. Love the shortcuts and functions of it. Well done!

Love it … but where is 1.3?

Looks like its been almost a month since version 1.3 was released (in the non-App-Store version). Is Apple that slow in approving updates to apps, or is something else going on?

Expensive add-on

The free version is too basic, and the price to upgrade is just too serious. Good app otherwise, nice interface and all.

300% productivity boost… at least

I tried this app for couple months and then decided to buy the Power Pack. This has transformed the way I use my MBP significantly. Even simple tasks like emptying the trash has never been faster (0.3 of a second?) Highly recommended. Actually, its a must.

Brilliantly Powerful

Alfred can be configured to do whatever you could possibly want… searching files, launching apps, whatever. Its fast, reliable, and highly effective. One small complaint, however, is that the bookmark search function doesnt work with Chrome (or I assume any browsers besides Safari). It would be great if they could fix this in the next update! I would love to actually use such a function :)

Amazing

I didnt think this app was useful until I tried. Now I cant live without it. Extremely great for university students as it is a time saver when you need to find that paper!

Simply amazing

Beyond the other great reviews of Alfred, I have to add one that many people maynot know of, text expansion. I havent tried Text Expander and other simpler applications, the only one that I have used was Smart Typer (good little application); but considering all Alfreds other features, this is one that I only found recently and cant tell you how lovely it is to have it all-in-one application, not stretched across 2 or more. So, a great free application; though the usefulness will (I hope) lead anyone who uses if for even a few days, the urge to buy this great app.
