From a Former Alfred User

I used Alfred for 4 years. However, with Yosemite OS, it looks like the inevitable happened and Apple built a better Spotlight search feature. Since I like to keep things simple, for the past few weeks I no longer use Alfred and only use Spotlight— and Spotlight hasn’t disappointed me, at least the way I use it. This might be differrent for you and that you might prefer several features that Alfred has which Spotlight doesn’t.

Regardless, there is still quite a bit Apple can Learn from Alfred. By comparison, Alfred is probably still more advanced. I recommend it to any mac user.
