Alfred App Reviews
definitely the best app for mac ever
alfred makes working with mac a lot more enjoyable and effertless. i love u alfred
This is the app I use the most often on my Mac, it can find everything! I barely use "Finder" or "Spotlight" anymore. Alfred is quicker and more efficient!
Ive been using this since the eariest releases and the review (below) was one I left a while ago. It is an MUST have. Do yourself a favour and get the version stright from the dev and pay for the PowerPack. __ I dont use any other app as much as Alfred. I just looked at my usage stats and I average slightly over 1,000 times a month which is mostly weekdays which puts it at about 50 times a day. It turns multiple keystrokes/clicks into two or three keystrokes with no mousing (big time saver), helps me find files and folders quickly, launch apps and scripts and I cant say enough about the support on the few occasions Ive had a question. It can do a lot more than I use it for and I slowly add scripts as the need arises, either self-written or downloaded.
Spotlight on steroids
Searches everywhere….. and fast !
Wow! The Best!
Its good. Its really good!
Life changing. If there is a single reason I prefer to use my little macbook air over my super fast PC, it is because of alfred. I never have to try to find where I put my files; alfred just knows.
so good
I cant imagine myself navigating on my macbook without it.
Basically, you press a key command to bring up Alfred and then you type what you need and it does it for you. You can easily open files, search on google, open folders, etc with simple commands and no clicking around. There should be some basic instructions since it took me a minute to figure out how it worked, but now that I did, it is extremely useful.
Who doesn’t want a butler, especially one you don’t have to pay? Alfred does everything but serve you dinner. Definitions, opening applications, finding files, Alfred is a must, and so simple to use!
This is a must have app for any apple machine! It’s the quickest way for me to find anything on my machine! It has hot keys for launching alfred, you can target particular drives to search, and key command entry, and you can even query google, or wikipedia if you want a quick web search.
I would like to buy the Powerpack but I don’t see it anywhere in the App Store version. Honestly, this app is what Spotlight should have been. It is lightweight, fast, and powerful. There’s so much under the hood, but its so easy to use. Fantastic work on this great productivity tool.
still missing one key feature
Doesn’t support iCloud for custom searches and setting syncing
Typically don’t bother writing reviews but I find this is a program that is very functional and is so easily integrated into every day usage that I almost forget it’s a third party app. It works very well on my MBP and I find that I never really even think about going to the browser if I want a quick answer. Also love that if I am watching a movie and something comes up, I can look it up. Matches my constant need to search for everything quite well.
Easily My Favourite Third Party App
Fast, useful and perfectly named.
use this ap so much its great !
should be default in osx, a quick easy way to launch, search and just be awesome !
Truly an essential productivity app. So much functionality, super fast, and always updating. Tweak it to your exact needs and has a business model that is smart and fair.
So I have been a quicksilver user from back in the day, and been using Alfred for the past several years - and it has been great. Recently with the release of El Capitan I thought the changes with spotlight would alow me to do most of what I needed. While spotlight is improved it pales in comparison Alfred especially in terms of speed. I have now disabled spotlight and gone back to my old buddy Alfred.
The Remote Alfread for iOS
Big disappointment since this utility is TOTALY USELESS! Waste of $$$. I will ask for refund.
UX done right. Feature rich and simple
One of my must-haves.
I’ve mainly tried using this app to search and find various files. It is usually able to find some of the relevant files, but it misses a lot of results, too. Pretty much any time I try to use this app to find something, the app is pretty much useless and I’ll end up having to manually go through all my folders in order to accomplish what I need to do.
